Hi jemmi,For the price to upgrade better buy external dac or tube
buffer..i agreed with u i dont think its will improve a lot in sound
quality..i still remember to upgrade my marantz cd17 its cost me
RM1.8k..i just smile n talk to my self just forget it...better buy
external equipment that we can test a hear the different..not satisfied
dont buy!!!

p/s--To whom to plan for upgrade old player just buy Mr firefly cd
player..sound very good compare to newbies player that cost RM2k..good

A simple upgrade for the KI is to change its op amp to a better and newer version. I have several pairs of new Bur Brown OPA 2134. We have test it with KI before with good results. Text me at 012-7976055 if you are interested. It can be used in most CD players. I also used it on my MF P182 limited edition with good results (as for amps, u need to check compatibility).
