Mission M33 speakers (Used)

Complain to admin and ban mark888. I enquired this speakers b 4. He said cannot test because his wife cannot stand with loud noise from the speakers. What nonsense... luckily I din buy from him..

This is a classic case of a seller wanting to make some quick buck out of his faulty equipment. Hope the buyers out there carefully inspect and audition the used equipment to be bought and this unpleasant experience will not recur to other hifi4sale users.

And kudos to ngvti to be brave & honest enough to expose the changes of parts before selling it.

ya, test is not available, cod at apartment opposite sentul timur lrt station. complaint to him but he insist that it was in good condition b4 he sell and already let me check..bla bla.. very good in talking and twist. For suggestion to ban him, i think ppl can easily sign-up newid again. The lesson is, test and inspect before buying, so i pay for my lesson. and make sure have the product knowledge.

Thanks joydivison, i have to ensure myself won't feel guilty and also can sleep well after selling it.

Eddy, i'm sensitive to soundstage, unbalance is noticeable for me, pictures tell why.

Since the only problem is one tweeter, maybe you should consider replacing the defective-sounding tweeter with an original replacement tweeter?
This is the distributor in Singapore maybe they can help.

Alternative is to replace both tweeters with a set of identical tweeters of the same size (1 inch) - not sure where you can buy in Malaysia, there is no partsexpress.com here . Maybe some of the experts can suggest if this is a viable option.

Are you still in Australia? The relevant OEM spare part has been discontinued by Tymphany. Not sure if DST Australia still has it.

Forget about PAR audio. Takes too long for replacement.

Tweeters are very difficult to balance so better to change both.

Thanks all for kind help, tried to search for it for a month and found is a discontinued OEM product, looks like no longer available anymore. google it and unable found any store selling it online as well. ask shop and told me the item difficult to find and cost may also high.
Yup, the tweeter need to change in pair, if not result maybe unbalance again.

joydivision is selling his mission speaker but i'm not sure whether it's still available or not.
i've bought cd player from him and it was a pleasant experience... he will let u audition untill u satisfied.

sounds like a crossover problem to me. try this: swap the tweeters between the left and right. if the offending speaker still drives the tweeter twice as loud, then it may be a faulty capacitor in the crossover circuit. if the offending tweeter is still louder when installed at the other speaker after swapping, then it's the tweeter for sure. i hope it's the crossover fault, because that's a simple problem to solve.
