Room acoustics treatment project for my little living room
Hi guys, I have bought myself a small condo and wanted to share about my room acoustics treatment progress for my living room. Would like to get more professional inputs from fellow audiophiles.
New equipments that will be involved:
1. Acoustics diffuser panels
2. Acoustics absorbtion panels
3. New pair of solid speaker stands for my little Leema Xero
4. TV & Amplifier Rack
5. Acoustics Carpet
Here is the view of my living room, the size is at 10ft x 10ft.
The room space is small, and i will focus on sound absorption than diffusion treatment.
I am searching on some material that can diffuse and absorb audio bandwidth, feel free to drop your comment if you guys have recommendation.

Re: Room acoustics treatment project for my little living room
I would suggest setup your system and treat it later. You have right size of speaker for the room so bass corruption should be a big issue.
Although, over damped room can sound accurate but it will not sound realistic and enjoyable except for solo or similar genre.

Thanks for the suggestion~! You are right that tune the sounds based on our ears liking is much enjoyable. But I think I have occupation sickness after some years in engineering industries, so I will put listening pleasure in second, but data in first priority.STC wrote:I would suggest setup your system and treat it later. Few tests I am planning to do after the renovation done.
1. Measuring the common RT-60 reverberation using a balloon and microphone.(Still searching a better software)
Mission : To get the shortest possible impulse time, across audio bandwidth.
2. Simulate room acoustics simulation with EASE, building the material libraries with the help of this source http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-RT60Coeff.htm
Mission : To distribute SPL evenly to the audience area(Sofa), across audio bandwidth.
Can't wait!
