I was reading with interest the article in Stereophile on the entry level turntable from Clearaudio.
I go to the Marketplace and it is listed there by the importer CMY - RM 5,500 for the MM and RM 7,500 for the MC versions. Stereophile prints the recommended list at US$1,500 for the MM and US$2,000 for the MC.
What gives? Who buys this stuff at these ridiculous markups?
