Krell, Melos Service

Hello, I'm new here. Just wondering whether anyone knows who can service Krell transport (MD-2). Some of the LED (digital number) not appearing. Also anyone who knows how to service Melos SHA-Gold preamplifier. The volume sometimes goes very loud then soft again (occasionally). Any idea why this problem.
Btw, anyone heard of Telos Cap. Anyone had experience using it. Thks for helping.

Coming from Ipoh,i amsure you have consulted Ah Chee??

If he put up the white flag,take it to Octave Audio in PJ....don't let the Melos preamp go no matter what....

As far as Telos caps,i have a bunch of the platinum ones..No change in the sound but nice to cover.I suggest you try Acoustic revive versions instead...now ,that is something else altogether;a bit pricier but well worth the price of admission ,especially if your system are too bright.

For Krell stuff, better to refer back to the current Krell agent (Norman Audio). There aren't many 3rd party people out there who can properly service a Krell.

If you want to try telos cap, try platinum one. one of the best tuning cap, far better than cardas one. Make my system become cleaner, quieter, more transparent, refined。But becareful, it got tuning effect, so quatity of telos cap should be controlled according your system.

For the Telos Cap, I was told that it take sometime to break in >50hrs. I had 10pcs (not platinum) tried yesterday for 3hrs and found better separations, quieter and tighter bass. Not all RCA or XLR in my preamp are fitted with the caps. Currently just 1/2 is placed. I might as well put all of them and see whether there are changes.

How about the volume of going loud and soft occasionally. Any idea what is the problem? I understand the volume control is designed with Pho-Tentiometer.
