Another Chinese knock off. I can't recall a Musical Fidelity product made in UK having chinese characters on the PCB.

cmboy, for sure this not the original MF... just want to get confirmation is it an imitation based on the circuit board and layout of the components.

No telling if circuitry is exactly the same but the basic buffer may likely be based on the original. The layout looks entirely new with added internal transformer and mains AC filter block, all housed in one box.
Its certainly made to be an improved version. The original MF is powered by a silly cheap wall wart and run of the mill parts, heat-sinkless DC regulators and NO Wima caps. It also had generic metal film resistors and cheap polyester caps primarily because it was meant to be a budget component.

some sound better than original one
