DAC Experience - Xindak DAC5

I am currently looking for a DAC to partner my Meridian 506.16. Any sifu to share their experience in this area?

I am considering a Xindak DAC5 or a Valab NOS DAC since they are very competitively priced (USD200 - USD 500). Any local distributor for these DAC that I can contact?

I have a Promethius and PS Audio Digital Link III DAC (reviews available on the web) available for sales - You can try them for free no obligations.
On another note I am also curious how these two ( Brand new was MYR1.8K & 4K) fared when compared to Xindak or Valab? so take them to the respective dealers for a "ultimate challenge. In my internal non scientific listening tests...Both DACs have the similar sound quality...perhaps I did not test them more thoroughly. Kindly PM me for details. TQ

After these few models....DAC prices ....... double and triple. I am contemplating between Bryston (USD2K) and Berkeley (USD5K).

MSB platinum DACs edges the Berkeley slightly in term of midrange richness,otherwise they are almost an equals.

If you want the Xindak DAC ,I suggest that you get the EXamplar instead.It is based on the Xindak ,but has been extensively moded .In the same league as the Berkeley and MSB platinum IME.
