Thorens Turntable TD125mk2 (SOLD)

Hi Guys..

Selling my 2nd reference belt drive turntable.Speed working accordingly, original condition and the strobe light is working. This is my reference turntable before i bought SOTA SAPPHIRE so is better for me to share this table to vinyl lover who needed most and to clear some place since have 4 units table. Mk2 version is the great expertise combination within Thorens and Elektro-Mess-Technik (EMT)

Hi Nis,

My experience with the Acos
Lustre GST-1 is appearenty different than the other posters. In Denmark,
the GST-1 was more expensive than both the SME 3009 S2 and 3009 Series
2, but a little cheaper than SME III. In my opinion, this also reflects
the relative performance - the GST-1 in my ears performs better than the
3009 series 2 variants, and even to SME III level with the correct
cartridge. Regarding the Rega R200, which was built by Acos, this is a
budget design - there are no comparision to the GST-1 at all.
One
thing to be aware of: The GST-1 sliding base and VTA adjustments were
both lubricated with a grease, which tends to harden over time. The arm
can really do with a change to a more modern grease. The actual arm
bearings needs no attention.
All this is of cause in my opinion. I've
played around with all three arms and have 2 SME 3009 og one GST-1
right now. For a upcoming Technics SP10 mk. II project, the GST-1 will
be one of the arms for the SP10 - while none of the SME's will.
