it plays DVD-A and it is hard to come by a decent made in Japan unit these days. grab it if the unit is in pristine condition. FYI, most of the denon produced in china regardless whatever price point but pioneer still produce thier higher range products in japan. besides, pioneer has minimal playback issues compared to its nearest competitors such as tosh,pana,denon,marantz etc.surely i would go for it if i were to look for a cd transport/player.

is it on 110v?

made in japan doesn't have to be 110v. same goes to merc,bmw,audi made in germany doesn't mean all left-hand drive. as fizi said, call & ask SIA about the player he is selling.

Its better to ask then to assume, dont you think? I read somewhere here that its better to ask publicly and share the response with the rest.

Fyi, some recond imported continental cars are brought in as LHD, hence the earlier question if the set is a local set or otherwise.
