Vintage Marantz CD-85 CD player rank after CD-94. The sound is very close to CD-94 which it also using Philips TDA1541 (single crown) DAC chip. Built like a tank with beautiful rosewood side panel. However, it can be considered as an excellent Transport (Philips CDM1 MKII).

Upgraded: Wima Coupling Caps for DAC and OS-con Power supply caps for critical analog & digital ICs (see photo)
