High Quality Music Sources

I'm returning to hifi after many years away and boy things have changed! Just wanted to seek some inputs on the new hi-def audio formats- where does one get 24/96 (or basically better than redbook type audio quality ) music ? I mean general middle of the road stuff rather than just the esoteric jazz/folks/female vocalist audiophile recordings ? I've looked at a few download sites like Linn, HD Tracks etc but frankly, the selection is just very limited... any suggestions or thoughts would be great... access to good music, at decent quality .. doesnt seem too much to ask no?
