Tube Marantz CD40
Hi Guys,
Sharing some pic on the mods of this wonderful player.
Hail the king.
Birds eve view. Bot right are 2 trans, 1 for heater, 1 for high voltage. Top right, 12AX7 SRPP, Top middle PIO output caps.
Zoom in on the point-to-point wiring job. Heaters are rectified DC 12.6v.
Bottom pcb. Non-oversampling trace (light brown) and direct output current of L (blue) & R (orange) channel. Red/Black wires are for re-clocking. Top red wire is ground.
This marantz with its cdm4/19 makes for one of my favourite tubed cdp. Very nice in deed.
