Apart from being one of the most successful independent Chinese jazz music labels in this region, pop pop music is also an aggressive promoter of live music. Over the past 6 years since its formation, it has done many live performances, big and small, in various venues in Malaysia, as well as in overseas.

Its music stalwarts like famed jazz pianist-cum-music director Tay Cher Siang, Sabahan guitarist Roger Wang, as well as established singer like Winnie Ho all help to cement pop pop music as the most influential Chinese jazz music proponent in Malaysia and beyond.

2014 is the first time pop pop organizes its own music festival. The festival consists of 3 main acts, spanned over 3 consecutive months.

The first being their entertaining Cantopop trio, called TAT trio (short for The Amazing Trio), presenting "A Tribute to Alan Tam". The TAT trio is made up of veteran singers Kaho, Worm and Foong, all in the early 30s. Besides their fantastic vocal ability, they are funny and entertaining on stage, making them a crowd’s favourite. All the best hits of Alan Tam will be sung over the two nights at No Black Tie on 7th and 8th May.
