My verdict : 

• This is the best AVR for room setup.
  
• Lifelike sound quality if paired with good speakers, eg. Wharfedale Diamond 9 bookshelf speakers.
  
• Although no HDMI, but it's basic amplifier sounds better than some new receivers in the market. Lifelike sound for movies and crisp for music. Your ears can listen to it for very long period of time.
  
• This AVR memorize your last channel level setup separately for 2.1 and 5.1 channel. So you don't have to change subwoofer level manually every time you listen to movies and music.
