Some clarifications on Winnie Ho LP
hi guys
we received some feedback on buyers on surface noise of the LP.
we have been advised by an LP guru on the production of this LP since early stages, and we do have some advice for those who encounter such issues:
1) You need to "dehorn" the LP,meaning using the stylus to polish the grooves, to achieve great highs
2) For japanese pressing, it is very common to have "plasticizer" (small particles) left on the grooves arising from the stamping process. when new, it is best to play the LP, clean it, play again, clean it and repeat the process for several rounds. You would notice marked improvements on the sound. We recommend CLEARAUDIO STYLUS CLEANER solution for this purpose.
3) This LP is slightly on the low side in terms gain. For MM cartridge, this poses no problems but for MC cartridge, it must be gained matched for it to sound its best.
Overall, the LP guru commented that the sound is good, despite the minor issues. We thank those who have bought the LP in support of local music, and we strive to do better if ever we get to release an LP again!
Thanks!
