Virus threat
Hi admin, I have encountered numerous android virus threat pop ups in this site lately. I am not sure if other users have similar experience. Please look in to it to avoid possible harms to users here.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Dear Atoz,
Thanks for the heads up. It happens on android phone and tablet is it?
I am on Android as well but have yet to experience any pop ups when visiting this page.
Have you tired clearing cache on your android device?

Re: Virus threat
Hi elhefe,
It happens only on my mobile but not on my PC. Fearing the worst, I remember i deleted all cache, browse history and have my phone screened throughout for virus on the first and second attack. Lucky that no viruses or damage found. The next time attack I just close all windows and and proceed with a scan.
I hope the above helps.
Thanks bro.

Re: Virus threat
Oh ya, just to share my encounter. The pop ups will show you a ticking clock and ask you to click to redirect to their site or otherwise, it claims that your system will crash and all your data will be stolen. You will not be able to navigate through your search engines everytime when this pop up appears.

Re: Virus threat
Hi Guys, I've encounter the same situation last month. To solve this problem, please follow instructions below.
1. Switch off your router
2. Clear the browsing"history, cache and cookies" of all your mobile devices including ipad.(if u're using google chrome: open google chrome in ur device ->settings ->privacy ->clear browsing data ->check ALL boxes -> Press clear)
3. (Before proceeding, pls MAKE SURE U HAVE COPIED DOWN YOUR ROUTER SETTINGS including your unifi/streamyx username, password, your Wifi name and password). Reset your router and reconfigure it with the settings those u hav copied down previously)
4. You now should have get rid of the pop-up ads problem.
NOTE: I've resolved the "Tradeadexdchange" and "Kena virus-vibrate" problem after doing the above procedures. If You are not good in IT, pls seek help from professionals to do STEP 3. Hope it helps. TQ

Re: Virus threat
Many thanks for flagging this out.
Before going too deep, it may just be a malicious ad served by the forum host. Can someone take screenshots of the ad, via iOS and Android? This will help us verify the offending ad.
We've encountered situations before when a particular ad had malicious pop-up code. What we did was to access AdSense and instruct them to block that particular AdSense-served ad.

Can you send us the URL/address to the 'fake' anti-virus page, the next time you see this loaded? We will block it from appearing again.
Many thanks,

Re: Virus threat
It's probably a bad ad. If you can take a screenshot you see it the next time, it will help us block it from appearing.
Trying out some settings to filter out some of these ad-serving networks.
Thanks again for the alert.

Re: Virus threat
Many thanks for the feedback. (really) working on it.
Really upset that this is occurring, especially for mobile.

Re: Virus threat
It looks like a complete site redirection, not an ad, since the URLs are showing on the browser. Not good.
Just made some changes, which incidentally only appeared recently (or at least wasn't there since we last looked at it) in the forum admin settings:
1. Turned off 'Text ads activation for guests'.
2. Disallowed 'Allow sponsored content', which we do not know what it means.
3. Deactivated Traffic exchange. This option will allow you to exchange traffic with the forums that have similar subjects as yours. This feature will come in the form of a block of links at the end of each topic.
4. Mobile template version choice (Regular vs. Modern): Selected 'Regular'. The default setting was 'Modern' previously.
5. Trying out a new cateogory of users. Exploratory for now. We highly encourage you to login for this to work.
