Quad 33 and 303 Pre Power Amplifier (SOLD)

I had here a serviced and excellence quality Quad 33 and 303 pre power amplifier for sale. A vintage 40 years pre power amplifier that work wonderfully.

The Quad 33 preamplifier originates from the pre sixties and came into production in 1967. After minor modifications the unit found its definite form and stayed in production for about 15 years. Successive models like the 44 in 1979, the 34 in 1982, are more versatile and/or present the famous tilt tone control, but 33's sonic capacities are superior, apart from the first production runs of the 44, practically identical to 33. All later models audibly present more ‘clarity', most of the time appreciated by listeners, but turn out to be specific and tiring-to-the--ear distortion.

The Quad 303 is widely regarded as the best power amplifier Quad ever produced. Sounds great, unconditionally stabile with any load with practically unlimited life expectancy. It only needs some minor servicing once in twenty years, that's all. A genial design that never loses its original high quality and it still stands the test of time.
