Your Adcom 555 front panel is different from the usual 555 model? What does it mean Bi-Polar ?

Yes, the Adcom 555 indeed uses bi-polar output transistors. But in most respects, both the 5500 & the 555 possess a similar sound signature. Preference for either is personal. Both are equally powerful, great bass performance, impressive soundstaging but most of all, highly involving & musical.
