Some details about the scam:

This fella contacted me after he saw my WTB advertisement of an svs sb1000 sub

I spoke to him over the phone, he spoke like an audio enthusiast, made up stories that sounds real.
DEFINITELY CHINESE, fluent in both chinese and english

He sent me an svs sub photo, he said he had 2 of them. 
I did some googling, and found the same photo on an expired UK audio mart advertisement   

also told me he would pay a RM300 insured DHL jumbo boxed extra padding shipping for me, and he even sent me a blurry DHL generated pickup email "proof". 

which contains the following address:

Kingsley's Hills
46570 Subang Jaya
Selangor

Googled the address, couldnt find Jalan Kingley having 2A road

I got a call from him too this afternoon.

He wanted to sell me a pair of speakers after seeing my post WTB.

His name this time is John; mobile number 011-2577 8988

Same Maybank account and number.

Photos all taken from internet.

So guys, Please be aware.

He got my info from WTB section

There is a police report on him back in 2021, but guess no action was taken..so beware

New HP no is 013-200 9863. Claims his name is Rog (short for Roger) from Raub.

However, my checks indicate that the mobile number is registered to a Md Nasir Hosian

All photos he shared with me were taken from the internet. They were all past sale posts.

His modus operandi appears to tell you he trust you, wants you to be happy first - so will ship item to you first via DHL and asks to share the shipping cost. If happy with the item then only make full payment.

Please do be careful.

If you ask for the courier tracking slip, he will give many reasons and refuse to show it to you. After you have waited for few days, no parcel will arrive. When you try to call him, he has already switched off his phone and cannot contact him anymore. He is a true cheater and try to cheat whoever want to buy hifi gear from him.

When he stole from me, he claimed he's from Batu Pahat Johor. The key point - He claimed to be a insurance agent for Great Eastern - His wife telling him to sell off his equipment - He have multiple HP and Bank Accounts..CIMB acc 7632498057 and Maybank acc 162302616560. 
With Bank acc. surely people can trace his address. Maybe some one in the forum who works in the banking sector can trace his address and make it viral, so his victims can pay him and his family a visit...

He will get your info from the WTB section... and he has accomplices as well ..

Name and location should be fake one if he want to cheat you.

He asked ask what system you had, and trying to sell his other gears at "attractive price" reason "he trust you can taking care of his stuff" or even"dont resell "his stuff . I paid hi rm1900 in total(On day 2,he asked another rm100 instead of rm430 for DHL shipping charge to Singapore which initially he said FOC ,he said he had a logistic business, able to absorb shipping charges under his customer). he said last friday i can get the stuff! But the rest of it, i guess you knew it.
To roger teh, i believe in karma, you will be paying back in double to me in near future, I hope you have read and understand this message.

this same number 0192942599 recently messaged me .. claimed to be Boon from Muar
earlier i was posted WTB a particular hifi stuff 
this scammer trying to conned me that he has the model and send some photos of his belongings 
haha.. luckily i found the exactly same photos in googles .. he took the photo which originally posted from oversea seller 
then when i exposed about the photo to him, he just read but not dare to reply anymore 

in another case, 0192942636 claimed as Kwong from Batu Pahat also with same modus operandi
i think both number was same scammer

either the same bloke who is preying on unsuspecting people or a cluster of idiots....

Following details about the scam:
This dude private massage me a mobile no. after he saw my WTB advertisement on Gallo speakers. I contacted him over the phone, he spoke like an audio enthusiast and claim he had purchase a new pair of Harbert speakers and wanting to let go the existing Gallo speakers which sounded convincing. The Dude is definitely a Chinese as claim in earlier report. His modus operandi is similar in earlier report to ask for minimum deposit which my case of RM1000 and promised to courier using DHL express. (Claiming his in-law business have account with DHL so he can ship at minimum cost) He kept reminded me to indicate as “ speaker deposite “ in the payment reference whether TnG or any other money transfer method. He also provided two recently sold items bank payment to himself as prove of sincerity. He cleverly uses the same photo on an expired google audio mart advertisement and even edited his fat face in the photo as prove of ownership of the speakers when I requested. (I am sure not his face!) He mention he had pay RM400 DHL shipping for me, and he even sent me a blurry shipping order. Be careful everyone, do google to do a few back ground checks on the item if in doubt, every info can be googled.

YES,i was just scammed by him last week.
He said he had a Nap160 in his study room for sale, using it without a pre, just paired with streamer. he even sent me photo of the unit,i trusted on him without further checks(could be a fake one)he keeps assure that i am not reselling his beloved unit for profit, he wants i enjoy in this purchase. he said he brought it from UK during his studies there about 9 years ago. Naim Pre had sold to his friend before he left UK.

he said he is living with his in-law (rich man in mersing) married to to his daughter, helping out his in-law business, act sympathy saying no freedom,life and everything is planned by in-law, he is very chat active, about his life sharing experience and i was dumbed too for wasting my time during my working hour to respond to such a stink behaved scammer.(JiJik setan sial).

when i said i wanted to go there to collect on that weekend, he said he wont be around(going to penang) and he offered me DHL courier for FoC to Singapore.
he asked me to duitnow for payment, i replied want for bank account,but he gave reason duitnow is very easy to use,in the end i used duitnow for full payment. Story never ends,next day he asked for partial DHL shipping charges with reason his boss(in law daddy ) found out he put "extra item"in the shipment ,he need to recover his money, again duitnow to him.
on following day again he said he had a 2 x meridian 506 CD player  for sale, willing to let go cheaply to me as he just wanted to recover his loss he made in my Nap160 shipment, so he willing to sell as low as Rm850, asked me to pay him half first, and even can send to my home through his logistic company if i agreed. The other half can be paid later, take the unit to enjoy first. Luckily i am not kena again because he keep doing the hard selling cdp la, streamer etc i already sense something wrong, all these came after duitnow payment for the Nap160,i am getting more uncomfortable but still hoping he is not a scammer and believe my nap160 will arrive my office the next day ,1 day before "parcel arrival date" was our last day of communication, that day i told him i will definite buy it after i have receive my order. Since that moment he left not read my message, and  he never pickup any calls also.

WTB is very vulnerable ,every post here open up an opportunity for him .Do not buy without seeing it yourself- last piece of my advice!

Post up a picture of him and make a police report. How in the world you got to know this person.

This guy also cheated me, he got contacts through the Want To Buy section, then started to offer items that we are looking for, he will give story that his wife needed money and he has to sell off at low price. He claimed to be working as insurance agent. he has multiple bank accounts.. lots of police report done on him...

If he has bank accounts meaning his identity and address is with the Banks. Unfortunately Banks are not allowed to disclose this info.

I think he is reading this and that is why he is laying low ..but he will strike again.. best way to know if one is dealing with a swindler is to insist on face to face deals..
