Biamping valve power amp...a right choice?
Following is my more than 10 yr old system.
1. Marantz CD 17
2. Conrad Johnson PV10 AL Pre amp (hybrid I was told)
3. Conrad Johnson Sonographe SA250 power amp (solidstate)
4. Epos ES 11 loudspeakers (biwired)
5. Audio Pro B1.35 active subwoofer...hence biamping via speaker cables.
6. Bada Audio LB3300 power conditioner....bought recently
7. Van Den Hul...interconnets, speaker cables
I am still very happy with the sound of my `old' system especially having the CJs serviced recently.
Out of curiosity, my questions are...
A. Will `proper' by amping using an additional power amp (tube or solid state) improve my current set up by leaps and bounds.
B. Any suggestions of type and make of the power amp.
Cheers!
P.S. For the sake of convenience, I do indulge in MP3 source via my hifi.
(Some may be cringing already). I connect my MP3 player (Samsung U3
1GB) or thumdrive to DVD Player
(Pioneer DV 400V...has a USB port). DVD player connected to pre amp
through AUX....but that is a different story.

Re: Biamping valve power amp...a right choice?
May I add, I don't consider myself an avid audiophile...its just that whenever I listen to music (wide range), I just wanna make sure that I am `squeezing out' the best from my set up.
Thanks again.

For Epos ES11, the CJ are more than enough to squeeze every drop of the signal from your source. If you dare to challenge, look for ES14, never sound better than ES11, i still wonder why. My last set up for my ex-customer (me no longer in hifi sales) is drive with Bryston 4B, sound ok for me.
But i guess it shall be better.
