A very high standard CD player, the sound is pure audiophile bliss, almost analog in the best sense of that word, and very musical, huge sound stage with perfect timing! Can easily kick every single Naim CD player to the graveyard
PCM64 is considered one of the top 8 DAC chips ever, and this Denon has 2 of them.
It may look like DCD-1520 is close enough to DCD-1500, but it's 3 years difference and light years ahead of that in both build quality and sound;
much better DAC, better transport, much better parts overall, everything is heavy duty, built to last many decades.
Just look at the weight, almost twice as heavy!
