DIY Tube Buffer Empty DIY Tube Buffer

Post by zyker Mon May 09, 2011 10:55 pm

Hi, I'm new here.

I'm thinking of building a cheap hybrid amp with tube buffer.

Does anyone has any experience with the kit sold in eBay?
I'm thinking of using this kit

Is it worth the time and money to be spent on the project by using this kit?
Please advice and share you thoughts Very Happy

Thanks in advance

DIY Tube Buffer Empty Re: DIY Tube Buffer

Hi,
I think this one below is more convenient since you're new into this hybrid.
One important feature that this amp has over the separate buffer is the startup relay. It mutes the pre-amp when the tube is warming up. Otherwise weird noises will come to the speaker and makes the woofer pop.

cheers.
