Hi guys, just wanna share my DIY horn speakers using the Coral 6A-102 drivers... This is the 1st time I'm doing a speaker cabinet so finishing is just so-so... Embarassed

I used 1" thick MDF for the entire enclosure... Probably explains why each speakers weigh about 35kg, so heavy!

Using an old 35" TV set as weight for better seal...

Preparing for some sanding...

The speaker binding posts are symmetrical...

Congrats brother Very Happy
Yeah I surely know how it feels to complete one of those.

Way back in 2004 back I built this horn based on the FE103 design but I widen the width and lengthen the overall horn length.
The driver is Jordan JX92S.
The picture is prelim - later on I found many flaws with the sound.
Few things I did to improve the situation:
1) dampen the compression chamber
2) dampen the flare/mouth of the horn
3) Use very thin/fine silver wire for speaker wires

Hi bro, same thing happened to me too... sigh I guess this is the limitation of full range drivers. I feel in order to extract even more bass one need to built even bigger horns that might not be suitable for our living rooms. I found that placing the speakers near corners and raising them up with a stand improves the bass too...

I think we have same speaker binding posts too haha!

Hmm I wonder how would an Audio Nirvana 12" full range sound like...
