Re: Carpenter For Side Wood Panel of CD Player
Hello Artesuano,
"real" rose is quite hard to come by in Malaysia and is usually ordered for specialty furniture makers.
May I suggest some good quality Malaysian wood like Cengal,Semangkok or others with a "real" rosewood veneer glued over it.
As I recall, there's a shop selling real veneer, not the laminate type, along the road just beside Pearl Point Hotel,Jalan Klang Lama.Sells all kinds of furniture related stuff.
FWIW, Malaysian hardwoods are now considered "exotic" woods and are highly sought after in the US & Europe. They fetch a premium price in the open market.
As for the carpenter, look around Jalan Gombak.Still has some small cottage furniture makers around.
Cheers & Shalom.

Hi teleman51,
I managed to find a carpenter to make the side panel for my Marantz CD94 MK2 player & it cost RM120/pair. So far 6 of my CD94 kaki confirmed to make it.
Thanks.
