When Liu Jia Chang Meets Li Zong Sheng

The recent comeback of Chinese pop godfathers, Liu Jia Chang and Li Zong Sheng (Jonathan Lee) ,into the Chinese pop music scene only indicates one thing: Chinese pop in the 70s and 80s have more substance and is still well cherished and is way better than today’s overly commercialized Chinese pop.

The structure of their music lends itself naturally to jazz re-arrangement. Our idea is to give it a pop/jazz treatment and some wicked twists, with the hope of revitalizing the music of these two great musicians.

Winnie Ho, our established Chinese Jazz sensation, together with Worm Lee and Jeffery Lim, our two guest male vocalists, would be the singers to carry out the vocal tasks. As usual, they are strongly backed by Tay Cher Siang’s WVC trio+1.

【街燈下的寂寞難耐】

70年代的音樂教父劉家昌，80年代的樂壇教父李宗盛，最近又串紅起來。兩位大師曾經創作過無數耳熟能詳，膾炙人口的好歌，更因此造就許多樂壇天王天後的誕生。兩位大師的作品又在一次被大家大量傳唱。這印證了，歷久不衰的好歌是經得起時代的考驗的。

透過【街】音樂會，我們再一次喚醒這些歌曲的記憶。巧妙結合爵士樂的手法，讓兩位音樂大師的代表作在爵士樂中更天馬行空。

Winnie Ho何芸妮，大馬新一代的【美聲女爵】，加上她最有默契的搭檔WVC trio+1。同時擔綱重要角色的Worm
Lee 和阿飛，是pop pop music重點推薦的兩把極具性格的好聲音。
