Zeebee, you missed it as the Audio Physics Kronos has already been delivered to its owner and the Krell monoblocs has been sold. On the other hand, an equally mouth-watering system is now on display/audition at the same room/dealer : same Kuzma TT, Soulution CDP, Pre, Power and Magico V2. Go have a listen lar.

Thanks for making the first move to encourage everyone. I guess that many of us are quite eager to post our pics, but I for myself am still learning to take good pics. Give me a couple more weeks. You'll see it!
BTW, the new address is www.hifi4sale.net. So, regardless whether we change style, format or forum engine, it will still be the same address. For now, hifi4sale.forumotion.com is still usable.

Whats to paiseh? I betcha your system sounds like a million bucks!!! I've commented before you have a classy setup. You say cheap system, I say looks like a vintage Italian setup. Maybe the TV set must move to another room lah. But betcha it's a fab sounding setup.

tycham,
I second. Keen to hear them as well.
Wabun,
no need paiseh. sure with the time and dedication taken to put together such a system, must have its merits and probably better than hi-end mismatched systems. Not the $$$ but the music. Have fun.

Wabun,
Please don't be paiseh, real audiophiles will respect you and won't be laughing at you, as you can see that you have many supporters.
Hifi equipments are only a "device" for music reproduction which is the main purpose of having a hifi system. Overall sound quality is more important than hifi equipments brands and $$. High $$ gears are not necessary equal to good sound and sometimes it is just the brand you are paying.
You will really treasure and appreciate your system sound after so many efforts you have been putting ( DIYs for example ), this is the most precious which $$$ can't buy.
Best regards.

Gosh I thought I'm a hardened man. You guys brought a tiny tear to my eyes.
Yes I think the world would be a better place if we can not only share our thoughts but extend a helping hand.
Wabun, don't be paiseh. I don't care if anyone listens to a pair of old radiogram in this forum but loves music and willing to share/show and discuss equipment.
And for some of us with some spare cables or stands and suchlikes might want to pass them on to people who'd really cherish them instead of trying to sell them for small money.
And there's absolutely nothing to be shy about, giver or reciever. In the spirit of Christmas especially.

Dear All,
Ok, since we are all nice and cosy and in the X'mas spirit have no objections to the following...... Audience 24 speaker cables, some NOS 7189A and NOS 12AX7, NOS 6l6GC, maybe a Wilson Puppy 8 and/ or Audio Research Ref 210 will do fine. Good home assured.
Wabun,
Will certainly give you a call if in the area.
Seasons Greetings everyone.

Re: H4S Hi-Fi Gallery - The Fun Corner
Finally have the chance to shoot some photos. The photo-montage below is amateurish but is the best I can do. Hope it motivates others to share as well.
Despite not so positive experiences by some, my Rega P2 has been giving me quite good sound. I suppose the use of a relative high-end Grado TLZ catridge helped things. It's biggest problem is the power supply and the RB250 tonearm cable is captive. Cannot upgrade easily.
Ever since I heard an SP8-D70 Mk2 pair in my friend's shop years ago, I have always been planning to build a system around ARC tube amps. I don't think I can actually find used SP8/D-70s for sale now but the SP9 Mk2 / Classic 60 is a good stand-in. Not as tubey/sweet as the SP8/D70 and quite a bit more accurate sonically but it is nevertheless able to play my not-so-pristine LPs very well. Which in the end, music is what matters most.
I am a fan of ribbon speakers, mainly Apogee speakers and so this system uses a pair of Centaur Minors.
Powertrans and dedicated power outlets (one pulled directly from each phase using heavy duty wiring) ensures the system gets plenty of juice. For analog fans, a record cleaner is an absolute must and the Clearaudio Smart is one of the best cleaners I have come across.
Hope its worth your while to read this post. Hope to see more forumers sharing their system.

Wah ! Apogee Mini-grands, very nice speakers. Your Centaur Minor has the benefit of the stands as well which is very nce. If I read your post correctly, did you drive the Centaur Minors with the Dared tube amp ? How did it measure up ? I actually have a pair of Centaur Majors as well but the ARC Classic 60 struggles to drive them so I have to use the Minors instead. The Majors are now standing in a corner.... Very nice system. Thanks for sharing.

Re: H4S Hi-Fi Gallery - The Fun Corner
I personally would welcome AV/HT systems as well and I would think others would too. Show us the photo of your system lar Max, with your brand new 5-ch power amp.
Car O Scope, go down to Seremban to visit you and you bring me makan-makan ? I bring my significant other half along as well OK or not ?

BTW, our friend Mou Gan Fu seems to be quite quiet lately. Wonder what he's been up to lately. Car o scope, we should con.. I mean persuade him to put up a photo of his system here as well, to share with us here. A system with Thorens, KAV-300, etc would be of great interest to everyone right ?

Hi Wong KN,
Thanks for your comments, just a vintage set up lah but serves me well enough and these things lasts. Yes, I drove the Apogees CM with the Dared VP845 tube integrated. Its powerful enough, and sounds good - one of those few high power single ended tubes. But it couldn't handle the bass panels of the Minigrands. I still use the SYMO LS5-SX cables biwired.
Hi Azri,
Yes, its the Sony but infamous, why/how? Those days Sony Malaysia brought in their ES range but not now, only going for the mass market. Want to upgrade to STR-DA5500ES also cannot lah. BTW, for HT its Sony BDP-S1E direct to BenQ PE7700 DLP projector.

Re: H4S Hi-Fi Gallery - The Fun Corner
Everyone,
I am thinking that perhaps we should run a separate thread on this.
1). New thread which only host the photos and the owner/member description of their system
2). Leave this thread as it is, for discussion, casual chit-chat related to the photos and member/forumers systems.
That way, we can enjoy the photos and reading about other members/forumers system but at the same time, avoid the 'cluttering' caused by meaningful discussion of those systems.
What is the concensus ?
If go, I will try to find a way to move the relevant posts to the new thread. Or I will see if I can manually repost for those who have already put up their photos.
