Anyway leave what uncle had said behind, we are looking forward to hear more from the existing owner.
Can a Linn Sondek really beat Lenco or Thoren?

My Sansui TT also not much better but not really BAD,the sound depends on what cartridge is being used.

I have already heard that even a normal TT can beat the super expensive Naim CD555 for everything except for the clarity. TT is very durable but need more care to keep those dust away.

Vinyl need more ablution than normal CDs.
