Sony CDP337 Classic 2xTDA1541A DAC Chips. The laser is KSS190A which is difficult to find in any part of the world. The transport is made of metal and built to last.

Those who know about this player will know the quality of the sound, it plays all kind of audio CD throw at it. It has been around for more than 25 years and still playing. The player is very heavy about 18kg.

I am thinking what he tried to tell is if this part failed. It is very difficult to find replacement part.

Indeed it is very difficult to source for the KSS190A laser .. but it also built to last almost don't failed in my opinion.

Usually KSS190A is difficult to fail because given the age it is in the player,it is on  its way into the"middle" age classification.
Although it is very lasting,given the fact KSS190A is very hard to source,i think it really matters to some potential end users.So indirectly it is classified as a high-risk commitment.

Given the unique design of dual -mono Dac architecture design in this machine,i believe it also sounds second to none which may be in very different way from a generic 1541 player category.

However High risk- high fun factors,low risk- low returns.This is a solid theory and still applied.Some are adventurer,some are cautious investor.So in which catogeries belong to you? May be you are belong to nothing describe above[ TQ ,you are better stop reading now]

Lets put the laser aside,look at different perspective , still it is a highly desirable machine to consider at especially you already own a main system,and this machine is for moderate use.

If i am a die hard collector,i will still give this player a serious consideration.And if you have some techical background,actually the laser diode can be replaced   you dont have to change the whole mechanism,lets work the mind out,the world is round not square as some presumed.
