Hard to get these early ES 2 channel amps.
Model is Sony TA-F 222 ESA Amplifier.
This is one of Sony's top of the range amps with ES badge ( Elevated Standard) only given for the components with highest quality and standard.
 
Great sounding amp, with MM/ MC phono, Bass Boost etc and standard controls.
Can connect two sets of Speakers
90 Watts RMS per channel.
EQ Out with selection switch
Can easily drive any difficult speakers.
13.5 Kg heavy, solid build.
 
 
 
This is a fantastic 2 CH amp, and I suspect would hold its ground against most cheap 2CH amps available today, with ample connections to function as a media centre if you wish (Video Switching).
 
Have had this running with Rega Turntable and Sony C.D Player, both with and without an external equaliser and the sound and delivery is fantastic.
 
Have had it connected to a range of different speakers and never had any issues with driving them.
