Krell KST100 Power Amp - SOLD

Krell built its high-end reputation from its very beginning when Krell Industries broke onto the hifi scene with power amplifiers built like the proverbial "tank", high power specifications that sounds thoroughly musical with power supplies and capacitor reservoirs to provide enormous reserves of power to drive any loudspeaker loads far beyond their physical specifications.  Krell proved with its range of amplifiers that solid state amps can deliver spectacular sonic results.  The early infamous Apogee's with its notorious 1 ohm impedance were often matched to Krell amps to drive them to their full potential.

On sale here is the Krell KST100, conservatively rated at 100 watts into 8 ohms, 200 watts into 4 ohms, 400 watts into 2 ohms & 800 watts into 1 ohm! The KST100 runs much cooler than the KSA series, yet with the characteristic Krell slam, control and excellent performance.  You don't need to have air-conditioning running at full blast, nor incur massive TNB bills to use this beast! 



In the high-end Stereophile magazine, Martin Colloms reviewed the KST100 together with its accompanying preamp (KSL) and the reviewer concluded that " ... Krell has succeeded in trimming the fat from the KSA series ... in absolute terms it equals the sonic performance of the KSA80 (which is a superb top rated amp) ... I would rate the KST100 highly, undeniably a class leader..."

The KST100 is typical of Krell power amps possessed of the substance of which made Krell famous, rare in the market, and a very desirable Krell amp to own!  

Good Condition, & well maintained (>7.5) and should provide many more years of trouble-free service.
