Some info:
After the success of the original D-300, there was demand to make some improvements in the original design. So the D - 300 III HYBRID was born.
The main items are:
The cable is a Hybrid which combines highest quality metal with our Linear Structured Carbon ® (LSC) technology.
Under the shielding one now finds an additional LSC saturated layer to further close the cable against HF signals and to dramatically improve the signal quality.
Furthermore, an extra LSC saturated layer is applied around the centre conductor, this again to improve signal quality and resolution.
Also the internal insulation is more flexible; the material used now is polyethylene-foam with another advantage: reduced capacitance between the signal line and the shielding.
The expanding gas for the foam is completely inert: Nitrogen.
Oxidation of the centre-conductor or the braiding is therefore nearly impossible.
The density of the conductor strands’ very pure silver coating is improved both on the central signal line and the shielding braid.
Furthermore, the flexibility of the external jacket is enlarged by using a new material with a very attractive colour and gold colored printing.
The material used for this jacket is our HULLIFLEX ®.
The electrical and sonic properties are remarkable.
The resistance of the centre-wire is 2.71 Ohm/100 meter and the shielding presents 1.36 Ohm/100 meter.
The internal capacitance is 95 pF/meter.
The characteristic impedance is 75 Ohm.
The external dimensions are nearly equal to the original D - 300: 5.65 mm.
While maintaining perfect audio signal transmission properties, this low priced cable has been especially designed bearing music lovers with a low budget in mind.
The D - 300 III HYBRID’s frequency range is very extended and its low level signal handling is remarkably good.

Some information:
For audiophiles who don't need XLR connections, we developed the superb-value Oval One interconnect.
It uses a braided signal conductor in our proprietary hollow oval design along with a braided outer shield mated to a true 75 ohm RCA connector with a low-loss dielectric.
Because Oval One is handmade using first-rate materials, it will outperform other cables costing many times more.

Chord Crimson Plus

Real performance has always started with the Chord Crimson. The Crimson, benefited hugely from the development work carried out during the design of the Chord Signature interconnect.
In terms of configuration the cables are very similar.
Both share separately insulated signal and return conductors and a floating shield arrangement. This configuration is part of the reason that the original Crimson performed so well.
The new CrimsonPlus builds on the original Crimson's performance but takes detail levels and dynamics to a new level, stereo image is improved and CrimsonPlus has an extremely neutral tonal characteristic.
During the development of the latest Chord Company high end cable, we learned important lessons about the application of heavy gauge foil shielding. This knowledge has been taken and applied to the new CrimsonPlus.
The improvements are significant and whether the cable is used to link a hi-fi or home cinema, the results are remarkably consistent. The improved shielding also makes CrimsonPlus ideal for longer runs and the cable is particularly impressive when used with subwoofers
Use it with:
The improvements CrimsonPlus can bring can be further enhanced by using CrimsonPlus interconnects in combination with Carnival SilverScreen speaker cable and it is also worth introducing Chord SuperScreen mains cables. The three cables together produce an extremely cost-effective cabling system that will help a system to perform at its best and produce a genuinely musical and involving performance from almost any system. CrimsonPlus can also be used with Chord Carnival Classic speaker cable to good effect.
Terminations:
The CrimsonPlus is available fitted with gold-plated RCA plugs, Din plugs, gold-plated stereo minijack, Neutrik XLR balanced plugs with silver-plated contact areas and ¼ inch mono or stereo jack plugs. CrimsonPlus can also be terminated with other connectors. If you have a specific requirement, please contact us.
The CrimsonPlus is available in 0.5 and 1 metre lengths. Custom lengths are available to order. We do not recommend the use of Din cables in lengths shorter than 1 metre for reasons of sound quality.
