Nouvelle Platine Verdier turntable Empty Nouvelle Platine Verdier turntable

This is one of those ultimate turntables which never required to come out with a Mark II. It is a J.C Verdier turntable. The nouvelle platine Verdier that I am selling is a very special version. It is the German version sold by Auditorium 23. You can read some history here:

(Please use Google translate to read the above thread)

Basically the German version is much more sought after than the basic French version. The German version of Nouvelle platine in fact beat the bigger Platine in a one to one contest to take the prestigious French Diapason award. What makes it even more sought after is, the German version cannot be sold outside Germany as per an agreement between Mr.Verdier and Mr.Aschenbrenner. I had to travel all the way to Germany to buy this turntable and get it shipped here.

Here are some reviews (please use google translate)

I have further upgraded the motor to a Maxon DC motor (Swiss brand) which is a much higher grade motor compared to the stock Philips DC version. Maxon is used by many state of the art turntables. Teres audio sells their Maxon based turntable motor for $2k. To make it even quieter I have added a battery based power supply. Overall the sonics have taken a huge leap. I will anyway provide the original motor along just in case you want to keep it as a replacement.

Here is a picture of the turntable:

There is a small stain on the plinth because few drops of superglue fell on it. I did not remove it since it could damage the plinth. Just about visible but absolutely no impact on sound.

The new retail is S$14k. I am asking S$6.8k.
Serious buyers are welcome to audition, however I only have a lowly Denon 103 cartridge at the moment, kindly factor that in before deciding to demo.
