gain clone or chip amp.....
anyone has tried chip amp?
i have tried the following
lm 3875
lm 3886 - simple power supply ready made board
lm 3886 - complex power supply
lm 1875
tda 2030
lm 1875 & lm 3875 are about similar sound character but with different power rating. as in my previous post (diy tone arm). I am using 2 x 275 VA toroidal transformer, 80 milli Farad cap (8 x 10, 000uF) 4 per channel.
lm 3886 good in vocal but require good power supply. Low ESR cap. I am using 2700uF @ 200V to get low esr. will upload the picture soon
tda 2030 not bad, almost similar to lm 1875

Re: gain clone or chip amp.....
Try to make the chip amp feedback into composite/global loop, you will hear a totally different type of sound. An "opamp dominant" sound.
