Grado RS1e: Overview

We have been told that Grado are making a running change to the ncolour of Statement and Reference Headbands from black to tan brown, so nthe headphones you receive may not precisely match the colouring shown nin the images here.


The beautiful 'Retro' styling of the Grado RS1e headphones is perfectly complemented by its hand-crafted, real mahogany earpieces. However don't be mislead into thinking Grado have used this luxurious natural material purely for its striking visual impact. That's absolutely not the case. The new Grado RS1e from Grado uses a different species of handcrafted mahogany from our previous models. The earpieces utilise an intricate curing process that optimises the tonal quality while giving them a new look. The Grado RS1e places a 50mm dynamic transducer and an 8 conductor cable design in an open-air configuration. The result is a smooth, controlled, and coherent sound with detailed dynamics.
 
Frequency response ranges from 12-30 kHz and the drivers are matched to 0.05dB. Weighing 255g, the headphones are an example of the wonders of Mother Nature with a gorgeous light mahogany look. 


The Grado RS1e is a masterpiece in the Grado collection.
