Update: Tentatively reserved by a gentleman from Johor subject to bank transfer today.
Update 2: The gentleman banked in the funds and so the item is considered sold.

Hello and thanks so much for looking....

I have for sale here a restoration project for one of you guys! It's an old Lenco turntable in not so good condition. The wooden plinth is falling apart and whilst it could be repaired, one would probably be better off making a nice new plinth for it. Doing so would help make this a very good sounding turntable.

For those of you who might be interested to know, the Lenco is an idler wheel drive turntable. An idler wheel drive turntable, in comparison to most turntables you see which are belt driven, have a very different "sound". Idler wheel drives have a sense of drive, stability, power and authority to the music when listening to your records. So even though it's an old turntable, there is some great sound quality waiting to be unlocked if one is willing to invest in some time and DIY...

What is probably not so well known is that the Lenco has a slightly different implementation of it's idler drive. And there is a guy who has done a lot of experimentation with the Lenco. The end result is that there are people all over the world who were inspired to rebuild and modify their Lenco's. You really should Google Lenco modifications and see what is out there..!

There is one website that really explains why the Lenco's drive system is unique. Unfortunately i cant post links here yet and so try and Google Turntables by Jean Nantais.
Have a dig around that site to better understand this unique turntable.

Then there is the forum for Lenco enthusiasts called the Lenco Heaven forum. Sorry again, I cant post links. Google is your friend!

So here are the pictures of what I have...

Price: Sold.

Note. I have once in a while noticed some nicer Lencos for sale here in the price range of 750 to 900 ringgit. Not that I was really paying attention and as you know hard to check as once sold the price is removed. As such I am pricing mine at RM 650. Having a look at what Thorens TD 124 units costs theses days, I can only see the Lencos going up in value!

Thanks again for reading and happy listening!
