Cyrus 2 Int Amp (Sold)

As solid as a missile Tank.A superb sounding amp that comes with internal MM/MC amp,so good for the turn table beginner who can skip from buying a phono amp .

Brief reviews: 
- It is tonally balanced toward the earthy substantial side. 
- The bass is well developed, fast, energetic, growl when necessary and always - articulate and on time. Anything but a wallflower or fun killer. 
- The treble is more polite than maximally lit up and illuminated. 
- This amp is very lively, with micro/macro dynamics well above its class. Music gains excitement and, desired or not, commands attention to dish out involvement and get the toes tapping. 
- Excellant rhythmic and tone timing without intruding by foreshortening jitters. There's flow and articulation. 
- Sound-staging is realistically proportioned and particularly incarnated body is praiseworthy and admirable. Singers rather step closer toward the listener before singing. 


Cyrus II體積細細，只有14 1/4” X 8 1/2” X 3 1/4”，但十分紮賞，線路排位，井井有條，用料
精良，製作美觀，整個底板用合金鑄成，據說設計達兩年才能完成，散熱優良。整部機噴上一層像SL-600之特製油漆防止諧震。

用Cyrus II來推Celeston SL-600，Duntech Dutchess及ATC-100等大食無論喇叭，竟然都能推得頭頭是道，音質相當幼細悅耳。難得嘅係音樂感十足，不論定位、深度、闊度、層次亦能交代得清楚，在如此平價機種，實屬罕見。當然絕不能冀求Cyrus II能有比它賣廿幾倍Audio Research SP-11 + conrad-johnson Premier One之水準，但如果不是要求極高，Cyrus II應該能滿足一般發燒友所要求的音質了。本大俠深信在Rm三千至Rm五千元，絕難找出一部可以同Cyrus II相題並論之機種。沒錯！在嚴峻之爆棚測試下，Cyrus II果然原形畢露，顯得有點力不從心，但不要忘記它只是一部只有50瓦之integrated amp，售價比一些前後級線還要平！聽jazz CD，Cyrus II亦能將SL 600推得punch十足，可謂怪異之至！細聽之下， bass係有些少含糊，分析力可能較差一點！但對整體音質並無太多大損害。老實講，本大俠十分配服英國人做hi-fi 之經驗同修養，竟然能用如此有限金錢，造出這部如此出眾之擴音機。對一般付不起錢而又想有較佳音質之發燒友，Cyrus II無疑係一部別無選擇之機種！

因為測試這部Cyrus II，令本大俠對所有hi end器材所收之昂貴價錢，是否值得，深表懷疑。若能從頭玩起，本大俠一定會放棄玩hi end，相信一部Cyrus II加一對Rogers仔，已能滿足本大俠之基本要求，伴我無數晚上了。地球一定要轉，飯始終要食，hi-fi亦必須多聽，消極悲傷於事無補，不如振作一下，搵夠銀唔愁無路走！
