The Musical Fidelity M1CDT transport is a true CD specialist. It's designed to do only one thing with the utmost precision — read your compact discs. This single-purpose design allows it to deliver digital data to an outboard DAC with no interference from internal analog circuitry. To further improve playback accuracy, the M1CDT incorporates Musical Fidelity's premium stabilized clock system to ensure low-jitter performance. You'll hear more detail and impact from your music CDs when you play them on this transport.

The M1 CDT high quality CD transport is a perfect match for the M1 DAC and the upcoming M1 CLiC. Its sophisticated power supply has seven separate sections and twin choke filtration to ensure ultra-low noise and highly accurate data retrieval.
The M1 CDT has a fully stabilized clock system which helps to ensure ultra low jitter. It will read a wide range of CDs: CDDA, CD-R AND CD-R/W discs, and it provides CD text (for those discs with that data). Digital outputs are: AES/EBU balanced, RCA Coax, and Toslink optical.
When feeding either M1 DAC or the upcoming M1 CLiC, the M1 CDT offers outstanding technical and sonic performance that illustrates the benefits of isolating the mechanical and electrical parameters of a transport mechanism from critical conversion circuits.
