PERFORMANCE SUB-WOOFER CABLE
Active sub-woofers, like any hi-fi or home theatre components, require the best possible signal quality to enable them to work at their optimum. Whilst conventional analogue interconnects are fine for use between audio-visual components, sub-woofers are an altogether different proposition, as they have a single specialised function - that of accurately reproducing the low frequency content of music and movies. Therefore, their requirements are obviously very specific: good signal transfer over long lengths and effective shielding from external interference (typically mains hum).

QED’s Qunex:registered: sub-woofer interconnects have been specifically designed to ensure accurate signal transfer - especially over long cable runs - through the use of the highest quality materials.



Designed for use with the finest active sub-woofers, QUNEX SR-SW is a true reference for sub-woofer interconnects.

Silver-plated 99.999% Oxygen Free Copper conductors in a quad balanced geometry provide superb signal transmission and a triple shield of dual SPOFC braids and Aluminium Mylar foil offers excellent immunity to external interference. Detrimental circulating ground currents are avoided by implementing a directional cable system with the outer shield grounded at the signal source end only.
SR-SW is fitted with QED’s renowned Qunex Reference phono plugs that incorporate a split centre pin and locking mechanism. The Zinc-plated alloy-bodied plugs use 24ct Gold-plated pins and connectors to minimise contact resistance and long-term oxidation.
