The DS6 THX
Dipole is a dedicated Home Cinema monitor created by B&W for creating optimum surround sound effects. The most important difference between this monitor and a standard rear channel speaker is the diffuse nature of its sound. This is achieved by placing 80mm (3in) mid-range and high-frequency drivers on opposing axes with opposite polarity. The effect is to non-localise the sound - the sound you hear won't appear to come from the monitors but rather from the listening environmentspeakers in great condition
