Raphaelite CSM 05 is a Master series high end 805 valve single ended monobloc amplifier

Raphaelite CSM 05 is a Master series high end 805 valve single ended monobloc amplifier. The amp uses 2 permalloy transformers as first stage pre-amplification enabling controllable gain, low distortion and non-reliance to feedback circuit. While, the true balance input is also executed by this transformer.

Second stage amplification is by 2 GE’s 12AT7 valves; push amplification by 2 Sovtek’s 2A3 triode valves. Jensen’s oil copper foil capacitor is used for resistance-capacitance coupling in the third & second stage amplification; 2 high performance driver transformers is connected with the 2A3 driver valve the produce low distortion and low impedance (600 ohms) output to drive the 805 valves. The utilization of this transformer enabled the 805 have strong driving capability. By applying low impedance output to handle 805’s shed current changes, it solved the issue of the A2 type amplification valve which have only shed current. Enabling the 805 to unleash its high dynamics and high output capability While at the same time the control of the distortion is alike as A1 type amplifier; 4 China NOS 5Z4P valves as high voltage buffer and with its the delay heating characteristic. It be enable to protect the 805 valves with delayed power supply to the valve. The two 5Z4P is parallel connected and guaranteed the supply of sufficient energy and higher signal/noise ratio. The 805 & 2A3 are DC powered and a voltage stabilization circuit is designed to enable the amplifier to have stable low noise output and minimal coloration.

The amplifier have 2 units 400 watts power transformer to ensure power supply consistency. The output transformer is special designed for 805 valve with precise induction and minimal inductance leakage. With 4 stages of amplification, the amplifier has high gain and high driving capability. In a condition of without any pre-amp, a output from a CD output can easily drive the amplifier.
Though it is a single ended amplifier, but it has the driving power and speed of a push-pull amplification. While, have the gorgeous high frequency of 300B. At distortion of less than 5%, the amplifier has an output of 45 watts. It is highly energetic, dynamic, outstanding airy & live music presentation.

Wide soundstage, accurate and balance frequency response, 300B alike elegant & gorgeous high frequency, driving power and speed of a push-pull amplifier. It has the capability to drive speakers which require good pushing and control capability amplifier such as ATC 20, Harbeth M40 & etc. It is suitable to pair with speakers which have sensitivity of 85dB and above.
