Behringer DEQ 2496 equalizer (SOLD)

For sale is a Behringer DEQ 2496 equalizer in very good cosmetic condition and I only used it for 3 months to measure my hi-fi system and then this unit has been in storage for 1.5 years.

Comes with the original box and manual.




Ideas for Hi-Fi use to obtain best sonics:

Use its digital input - either with AES/EBU or Toslink (sorry no SPDIF)

Output with Analog Balanced AES/EBU feeding to your balanced preamp or you can use a balanced to unbalanced connector and feed to your regular pre-amp of choice.

Run a manual freq response cd (20hz to 300hz in 10hz steps will be best) to test your hi-fi system using your own ears. Listen for irritating peaks and then dial in the equalizer to cut that peak. Do not increase gain of the equalizer for some nulls (sound cancellation).

It's very useful and you'll be surprised by the resultant sound. I've tried using the Behringer's original mic to perform auto frequency calibration but the results don't sound anywhere close when using our own ears.

This unit I have upgraded its clock to a TentLabs low jitter clock.
