Used pair of flagship Scansonic (Raidho) MB6 speaker, handcrafted and made in Denmark.

Brand new condition with very minimum use as I have another 2 pairs here.

The MB6 is an incredible music performer with an impact an authority that will leave you breathless. In the deepest bass, the line array boasts a total membrane area larger than a 12” driver, but still with the speed and agility of the smaller drivers. This makes the MB6 have outstanding capabilities even in the deepest bass.

Great opportunity to get Raidho speakers listening experience with this Michael Borresen flagship MB series speaker model. 

Raidho and Scansonic share a close family visual aesthetic, as well as similar design choices; a slim front baffle mated to a relatively deep, teardrop cabinet; a slight tilt away from the listener to aid the crossover in time alignment, and a Kapton–laminated, true aluminium ribbon for the top end.

The rest of the name is significant, too. ‘MB’ are the initials of one Michael Børresen, who has been designing Raidho loudspeakers (and then some) for the last 12 years or more. The assembly process is done in–house by hand entirely at their factory in Denmark.

The MB6 is the Scansonic flagship speaker. Tall, slim and elegantly curved it follows the core of traditions in Danish loudspeaker design. The design is centered around the ultra light moving mass sealed ribbon tweeter, that has unique speed, resolution and dynamic transient capability. This makes for a very transparent and highly detailed reproduction of the finest details in the program material.

Scansonic’s MB series are basically less expensive Raidhos, incorporating trickle down Raidho technology. Engineering and development are done by the same folks as Raidho.

Scansonic claims an efficiency figure of 90dB (with no reference to the measurement method), a minimum impedance of 4 ohms, and a frequency response of 27Hz to 40kHz. As such, this speaker should not be difficult to drive for most modern solid-state amplifiers, and indeed its highish sensitivity should make it an option for users of lower powered tube amplifiers, too.

The inner pair of the driver covers the midrange up to where the tweeter takes over and as you move out from the center the driver cowers more and more of the lower registries.

Less use and kept for 2nd HiFi room setup in the near future but had to let go due to some reasons.

Price was around RM50k++ back then, so letting go cheaper around RM24500 (still negotiable for serious buyers).

Condition: 9/10 (lightly used and well maintained, still like new without any flaws)

Prefer face to face deal if possible, testing and audition preferred once the sales price is confirmed.

No box but can deliver for free by hand around Penang, Ipoh, KL or Kedah areas.
