The PS Audio GCC-500 is a compelling amplifier for both types of listeners, the eye-closers (ECs) and toe-tappers (TTs). Its dynamic power, especially with the stock GCC-500’s 500 watts per channel, brings out a sense of ease in handling uncompressed musical peaks, ideal for larger rooms and speakers. Its bass control, rich midrange, and detailed treble offer a smooth, non-fatiguing listening experience, similar to tube amplifiers. The GCC-500 keeps complex music coherent and maintains PRAT (pace, rhythm, and timing), allowing individual elements to stand out, from cymbals to vocals.
