Recommendation--a nice amplifier Empty Re: Recommendation--a nice amplifier

I would think the MC-50 should be good. The older MC-30 was favourably reviewed. http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/308shan

On the specs in the dhgate website, the MC-50 is 15wpc. That should be easier to match more speakers than the MC-30 (a mere 3wpc). But an efficient speaker is still recommended.
But don't take my word for it - try it out with various speaker you may have shortlisted.
Figures and specs don't matter much if you like what your ears hear.

Don't forget to let your equipment some time to run-in before passing judgment on the performance of your equipment.

Enjoy the music.

Why the need to run-in the equipment?
I don't exactly know the theory or science behind it.
Every product's manufacturer will be able to give a recommended or approximate run-in period. It is only APPROXIMATE. There isn't any exact or right amount. But it will only get better with extended run-in.

good afternoon and thanks sph. i personally encountered this. initially the amp sounded ear piercing or i just want to stop the music or get out of the room feeling. i continued using the amp and some how the sound started to smoothen and sound 'thicker' and musical. does this run in also apply to all components ie. cd player, speakers, cables, etc?

Yes, it generally applies to all components.
I think you would have experienced all that with your equipment.
