need advice on NAD power amp
seems that i still have my NAD pre amp, why not if i look for a nice decent NAD power amp? theres two options that i've found one is NAD c272, another is NAD 2600a. both priced at a mere $1500, more or less. im pretty sure 2600a is an old gem (hopefully not an old fart) & 272 is a newer breed, still i need u guys to drop some advice which is the best.. tqs heaps

Re: need advice on NAD power amp
hi, i used to have the c272 but sold it.. now using older 2700 thx. i presume the same sound character to the 2600A.
i can say both have the power and NAD sound character. rich mid open sound.
what can i say with my previous setup, C272 is a bit dry and a bit forward, the 2700thx is more open and vocal a bit clearer but the sound a little laid back from c272. both are very dynamic and can drive 4 ohm speakers.
if the 2600A u can get less than rm 1000 its a steal. but beware because this model has problem with the speaker output relays which may cause cracking and on off sound during initial listening after shutdown..
both runs hot and the longer switched on the better it sounds. just that the older model do not have standby button. so it depends on your preference.. NAD is known for affordable but great sound. my personal opinion.
