CD Lens Cleaner (Need advice)!

Hi....

Firstly...we know so many brand of cd lense cleaner in market. But which one is suitable for the audiophile cd player. Actually im new in this hobby, so im really need advice from u all...Thanks!!!!

Spade, I think it is better not to use any len's cleaner at all to clean the CD len. The len is not supposed to be touch at all & the CD len's cleaner normally is with some kind of brush on it & it may scratch it, who knows? Since the len is not being exposed to dust all the while, why not just let it be. For top loading type, just use a dust blower for camera lens or so will do.

i agree with bravo. when i bought my roksan caspian cdp and went thru the user manual they clearly mentioned "do not use any lens cleaner"

Thanks a lot for the info....after this no need to think about this matter n where to buy it...hehehe. For a moment...i enjoy with my set but just to improve the sound...becoz i think if the lense always clean so the sound more sharp and clean to!!!!(just leave it..this is my personel thought)

I bought it from Audiomatic, 2nd Floor of Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya. If i am not mistaken, i bought it at about RM150. I am not very sure but it's 100+.

so, why do they invent cd/vcd/dvd lens cleaner again?

How about "The Auric Illuminator". It is an optical disc treatment fluid. Did anyone use this product?....please share ur experience!

I have not tried anything except the Furutech PC-2. If your CD is with tough stains like after putting your CD into those CD magazine for long period. ( I do not know how to explain that), some kind of blur surface, it can only be removed by the alcohol CD cleaner where i have tried.

the auric illuminator by audiance is not bad,better than most but not in the same class as the mapleshade IME

If you are looking for a cd laser lens cleaner-for your cdp-you should get the MILTY cd lens cleaner.i got mine from UHF website and use it monthly.
