It was mostly a rock gang that night ...
Played a bit of ......and Sam Hui
with and without the sub. Everybody agreed that with the sub things are more 'complete and full'.
Then Mr JBL put his foot down and said enough is enough, with sub on the side, we must rockkk!
So the rest of the night was spend listening to Timbuk 3, AC/DC, Bad Company, Talking Heads etc...
The 'panasonic' amp manage to keep up with the beat and maybe the rack need some 're inforcement'.
After all that 'ear bashing', need some 'cochlear therapy' for awhile.
This week, I understand, we're going to have an even more interesting session. Hope you guys can make it!!! For those who are interested, please check with rsbn.

Mr JBL surely love the new found bass in your system. As long as he did not do a Gangnam style in your room.

Could have been a 6 player shootout...but 1 didnt want to 'read'...
Interesting results with the host setup of tubes and old man Harbeth.
Obviously all cdp has different signature. Host wanted to test and find out weather he need to change his front end. Results varies due to cables and lack of time (sic). So outcome not ideal and not fair to comment. But it was enjoyable with good drinks, nice music and great company. More to come!

Managed to dash over after installing a sub for a customer. Luckily, not too late for the red wine... I mean the CDP shootout.

Soon, it will become wine tasting while enjoying nice music

Final verdict, the OZ red wine is the best. I think the one that shslpg took home. *hicks* Oooppss, I guess you are referring to CDP. Each has their own strength. Since I missed out almost half of the premier league, it is better for others to comment.

full range sub? No place to walk in the room. SVS alone, there are 10 subs already. Also, back breaking to do it especially the 71kg PB13-Ultra. Moreover, my neighbours might not be happy with it.

We have not finalise on what to be brought into our Room 8032. Maybe music streamer for hi-fi, or maybe home theater or maybe analogue. Don't know yet.

Unfortunately IMHO, the green sets were quite disappointing. Now need to go to aanfield to realign ears with vintage stuff.

Again IMHO, htkaki you should 'char' them!!

Last weekend was, as usual, in a word, fun. Legend and green giant were, in my opinion, equally good. Different in presentation. Listen and decide which one you like. Legend, as mentioned by some, has inky black background. Does not sound dark and is more analogish. As for the green fellow, although abit 'noisier', but it gave listener more music IMHO. Again we all felt that it depends on what kind of music one likes, then chose your poison. My 20 cts.

All NSAG members are on buying spree. CDs, Vinyls, CD transport, loudspeakers, cables.... When there is buying, there is selling too.

A few members are selling off their gears to make way for new toys. Upgrading is the order of the day.

Patiently waiting for a fellow member's new d' big loudspeakers to be installed. I bet all other NSAG members also waiting anxiously like the new owner.

These 2 months really long buying spree. I also ended up with something:P
