hi....

I purchased the The very best of Enya a local pressing and the recording is horrendous. Very painful to my ears, very high /sharp and not clear vocals.

This was my second purchase of a local pressing other than "Eagles" and I totally .

Presumably, all local pressing come with this recording trade mark and was also confirmed by the Music shop that i regularly visit.

I could be wrong here totally.... my 2 cents.

with some sense of music, one should be able to identify "arcady- after the ball" as celtic stuff, even just after a few notes while "woman's heart 2" could have non-celtic stuff or at least some tracks appeared otherwise distinguished

both album and compilation contain very good female vocals though there is a male vocal singing french in track9 of "arcady- after the ball"

besides vocals, both also capture few tracks of (barn) dance pieces which sound simply joyous to "instigate" any listener to lift his butt off...

after umpteen years of ownership, i still love most pieces therein!

E.S.T - Seven Days of Falling. EST are a jazz trio (drums, piano n bass) but this sounds like a mix of Radiohead meets Jazz meets electronica. Fab!

oh yes, vs, "almost naked" comes with simple arrangements yet showcases very good live performance!

Second album is nicer.

Tonight going to listen to :

Orbital - Blue Album. Did not really like the previous 2 Orbital albums - "Middle of Nowhere" and "The Altogether" but this curtain closer is a real eye opener and a welcome return to form. Sounds more like "Snivilization" rather than the 2 downer albums mentioned above.
